Read the opening

When a round begins, take a second to look for open space, cover, and at least one alternative direction. A route that feels obvious can become crowded quickly.

  • Try moving before committing to one route.
  • Consider where you can turn if your first path closes.
  • Play with friends if you want to compare what worked after a run.

Practice the loop

A useful first goal is not a perfect escape. It is noticing when to run, when to break line of sight, and when to change your plan.

  • Move with purpose.

  • Reset your plan after every close call.
